Health and Safety Bootcamp

Health & Safety effects all workplaces in Renfrew County. A recent WSIB Statistical report showcased the amount of allowed lost time claims per 10,000 workers in Renfrew County was 96.8, much higher than the Provincial average of 90.5.

On September 27th Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation will be hosting a workshop in partnership with McLaren Health & Safety Consulting, to help business owners and employees understand how to manage Health & Safety in their workplace.

Renfrew County's Health & Safety Bootcamp is rooted in the idea of helping business and organizations in the area develop sustainable safety programs that will reduce injuries and illnesses and increase the bottom line.  Featuring a panel of expert speakers and industry professionals, the workshop is based on the idea of helping organizations become Occupational Health & Safety leaders in the Valley.

Renfrew County's Health & Safety Bootcamp will take place at the Horton Community Centre from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost is $45.00 per person, which includes registration, lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Please see the attached poster for more details. Seating is limited, so we ask that you reserve your spot by September 19. For a full listing of speakers, the workshop agenda or to register, visit:
